This Knitting Pattern
A knitted lamp post is such a bright idea, you will get a warm glow after knitting it.
Add a little winter magic to your home this Christmas with our Lewis the Lamp Post toy knitting pattern. It makes a lovely, cozy decoration for your mantelpiece or a handmade winter village scene.
As you can see in the picture, the finished toy looks just like traditional cast iron with a warm, glowing lantern at the top. The knitting itself is very relaxing and easy to follow. You only need to use simple stocking stitch and 2×2 ribbing to create the lovely textures.
To help your finished lamp post stand up straight and tall, the pattern includes easy instructions for popping a simple paper frame inside.
We named this special pattern Lewis as a gentle nod to the author C.S. Lewis, inspired by the famous snowy lamp post in his wonderful story The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which is part of The Chronicles of Narnia series.
