Also have made a king, looks good.I will be making more in the new year.
I would point out that the Queen always carried her handbag on her right arm though.
When knitting hat cut a circle of cardboard to fit top which will give it shape plus very lightly stuff the space between head and hat, after all our beloved Majesty did not wear floppy hats. You can also put small cardboard disks in her shoes before stuffing to help her stand as well as add yarn decorations on her hat plus necklace.
It takes roughly 3 days of knitting to complete.
Would recommend this pattern.
