Equipment
• 3mm single pointed needles for all pieces (No. 11 or USA size 2)
• Sewing needle
• Stitch holder
Materials Needed for all items
All weights are approximate as it will vary by brand of yarn. Double knitting yarn.
• Brown 50g
• White 100g
• Grey 50g
• Blue 50g
• Flesh 75g
• Green 25g
• Yellow – Oddment
• Red – Length for the face
• Black – Length for the eyes
• Toy Stuffing
Tension : 26sts x 33rows = 10cm x 10cm in stocking stitch using 3mm needles.
Abbreviations
k – knit
p – purl
st – stitch
st-st – stocking stitch (k1row, p1row) tog – together
Inc – increase by knitting into the front and back of the same stitch
International Glossary
Double knitting yarn = USA worsted or 8ply in Austral-ia
Stocking stitch = Stockinette stitch
Cast off = Bind off

Each doll character is approximately 21cm tall
Donkey is 16cm tall
Manger 12cm long, Jesus is 9.5cm long
